I can't make out what you have connected to the battery. Just until y'all effigy out the wiring only use 2 wires and non 3.
You should take battery + -> switch -> light -> battery negative or ground. And so play with the ii wires on the switch, one to battery, and i to lights.
If the led in the switch comes on without the light yous accept information technology wrong. ( you are powering the light through the led). Once you have it working with the led not litup then you can connect the third concluding wire to basis.
If yous cave a continuity tester, so just put that on the switch to work out the terminals.

Just so you lot know I accept no experience with wiring merely this is a premade harness and so I figured I could do information technology myself. If I connect the black and reddish wires from the harness to the battery the lights come on even when the switch isn't connected. Am i supposed to be connecting both blood-red and black round attachments to the bombardment? That is what they testify in the Cali Raised install video.

Relay is only needed to protect the switch if the switch can't take the current the device pulls. Im assuming the switch was supplied with the light and the manufacturer isn't stupid.
If you are worried about a permanent install then the (apparent) lack of a fuse is more concerning.
I should have been clear in my mail service, I answering the OP question, trying to help with switch wiring, not the right permanent install wiring.

Here is a short video showing what is going on. When i connect black to black and ruddy to red on my battery in this setup without the switch fastened the lights come up on. Am I missing something very unproblematic? https://vimeo.com/241110629

I watched the caliraised instructional video. I am not trying to adhere the wires I pictured to an OEM style switch. I am only trying to utilise the basic switch they supplied. Am I supposed to attach the Red and Black cables with the bombardment terminal adapters each to the red and black terminals on the bombardment? Even with no switch attached to the 3 wires the lights plow on.

There is a fuse and relay equally I showed in the video, so I'm dislocated why the switch seems to have no effect in changing the ability to the lights whether or not information technology is attached to the wires.

I assume you lot don't have a multimeter?
Are there whatsoever markings in the switch at all? Usually there will be something you tin work from.

No markings on the switch, just 3 prongs to connect those 3 wires to (blueish, white, blackness). Is it normal for me to have the switch non even connected to those wires and for the lights to stay on when connected to the bombardment?

Ok This is the aforementioned wiring I have in my OP right? And and then you have the Black and Red wires continued to the black and crimson battery terminals? When I take everything ready this manner the lights become on without any input from the switch. I tin can phone call CaliRaised tomorrow, I was just hoping it would be a elementary set that I disregarded.

Carmine wire goes to positive on bombardment, black wire connects to the basis on the body (follow the blackness wire off of the bombardment).
Run blackness, bluish, white wires into the cab for the provide switch. Blue goes to the heart, black and white on either side. Should exist that simple. Wires on the left of the pic ate not the ditch lights

Ok I have been connecting the red to positive and blackness to negative so this might exist my problem. On the Cali video they show the black going to the negative battery terminal and non to the ground on the trunk.

I think they as well used a dissimilar switch. The oem ditch light switch has 4 wires I believe not 3
